Our well established classes operate in South Birmingham, and cater for pupils of all abilities, needs & backgrounds, from toddlers upwards. Check out our Facebook Page for all the latest news & photos www.facebook.com/ClairesDanceCo. . In our Little Wigglers classes, toddlers are introduced to dance and movement through music and play. Accompanied by their ‘Big Person’ our key focus is having FUN through a variety of dance related activities, but in doing so, they develop coordination, flexibility, language and listening skills, social skills, and confidence. The class is aimed at little ones who are confident walkers, through to when they are ready to move into our independent Tiddlers class, once they’re in pre-school nursery. At the end of each class, we finish with a free play session & Big People get to enjoy a cuppa. . As they progress into the older classes, children learn skills in Ballet, Tap, Street, Modern and Gymnastic Dance (IDTA syllabus); as well as developing social skills and confidence. The skills learnt in each of the classes work towards annual assessments in all disciplines, and IDTA examinations; as well as displays at local events and charity fundraising performances for family & friends. In addition to the main classes, we have recently created the Shut Up and Dance… SQUAD! A team of dancers who are being fast tracked, perform more frequently & compete. . Although we work to progress and event schedules, the focus is on FUN! …We want every child, every week, to have a great time & look forward to their next classes.
