Dore School of Performance Arts
Dore School of Performance Arts has been established since 1961, when Bobbie Drakeford opened the school at the age of 16. Now run by Principal Kate Riley and Senior Teacher Samantha Cook, the school offers high quality teaching for students and adults alike. We encourage self confident, personality and discipline with an emphasis on ‘Fun’. The school holds two IDTA examination sessions a year, where coaching is offered for grade and professional qualifications and produces a show once a year.
.
Our aim is to provide pupils with an all round theatrical training, either just for fun or with an interest to go into the profession.
.
Past pupils have gone onto further dance education, have become reps in the entertainment section of big holiday companies or gone on to perform professionally.
.
We are a CDET recognised school.
.
Dore School of Performance Arts is open to all, and we are happy to accept children who require special consideration or reasonable adjustment.
