The ABC Ballroom is a friendly run medalist school teaching Ballroom, Latin American, Salsa, Rock and roll, Freestyle and Argentine Tango. We cater for children from 3 years to adults and from social dancing to medalist work to professional examinations. Childrens classes are on a Saturday morning and we have 3 experienced professional teachers. Adult classes are run through the week with both private tuition and group classes available. We also tend to have a practise night/social dance at the weekends. Come along and join the fun!

Clare Attridge

Principal

Clare is a qualified IDTA examiner and Principal of the ABC Ballroom and has been teaching both children and adults for 23 years. She started dance lessons at the age of 3 at the Abc ballroom and when her teachers retired took over the school with her sister, so has never danced anywhere else! She teaches various ballroom and latin styles to all ages and runs medal tests twice a year for both adults and children. She also runs childrens medal presentations twice a year to present the work to the childrens family and friends. She has also taught a lot of professional work and throughly enjoys training teachers to qualify for the IDTA.

Mrs Louise Dowell

Teacher

Louise is a qualifed Ballroom and Latin Teacher and has taught all ages for the last 25 years. She teaches a wide range of dances and specializes in Wedding dances which she loves to cheoreograph. She always teaches with a smile and brings fresh ideas to the school.

Mrs Stephanie Greaves

Teacher

Steph has been dancing for the last 25 years and teaches both at the Abc Ballroom and runs classes herself in the Melton Mowbray area of Leicestershire. She is a fellowship teacher for the IDTA and hopes to become an examiner very soon. She specializes in teaching young children who all seem to respond very well to her.
