Dancetime , The Samantha Brindley School of Dance , opened in 1997 after the previous owner , Mrs Lulu Theotoki retired.
The school offers classes for all examinations of the I.D.T.A Theatre Branch and non syllabus classes in Contemporary , Jazz , Ballet and baton majorettes. The school also offers professional coaching for teachers and dancers alike. Students participate in the yearly school production and are often invited to dance in external productions. Past students have continued on to work as dancers and choreographers in professional theatre productions , music videos , film and ballet companies .

Samantha Brindley

Director of studies

Samantha Brindley was trained at the Jean Pearce School of Dance in Leeds. She has danced professionally both in the U.K and abroad in theatre , cabaret ,television and film. Samantha has also choreographed full length productions , animation teams for hotels in Europe , cabaret groups and trade shows. She has always had an interest in teaching and for the last 18 years has been teaching full time , firstly for Mrs Lulu Theotoki , and then after Mrs Theotoki's retirement Taking over the management of the school.
Mrs Brindley is a Fellow and Examiner of the I.D.T.A.

Athena Kotsi

Teacher

Athena Kotsi holds I.D.T.A qualifications Fellowship Ballet , Fellowship Modern Jazz and Associate Theatre Craft. She has been teaching in our school since 2000 and prepares children for both examinations and performances. She regularly attends teachers courses, seminars and workshops .
