SCL (Salford Community Leisure) Dance

The school offers high quality dance training in a fun, friendly and welcoming environment. All young people that take part in Street, Ballet, Tap, Freestyle and Modern Jazz classes are given the opportunity to take part in performers awards with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association). They are also given performance opportunities through presentation evenings and showcases at The Lowry Theatre. We have award winning Theatre Dance Competitors and we have recently had performance opportunities with Blue Peter the BBC and Cebeebies.
Guild Hall Community Centre is Walkden is the main base for our Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Contemporary Classes with classes starting for ages 2 1/2 upwards. Ballet & tap classes are also taught in Swinton and Irlam.
We deliver Street Dance classes across Salford for ages 4-16yrs.
We also teach movement and dance classes for young people and adults with a disability. Classes are taught in schools, community settings and at neuro-rehabilitation centres.
