The Susan Hill School of Dancing was established in 1982. Our dance school and studios are based in Radstock, seven miles south of Bath and classes are held in our purpose built, mirrored studios in both Fortescue Road and Victoria Hall Radstock.
Dance classes are available for students in Pre School Music and Movement, Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Musical Theatre, Freestyle Jazz, Street/hip hop, Commercial Jazz and Contemporary Dance.
For our very young students we offer two classes with ‘Mummy’ joining in. Boogie Bears from 12 months, Ballet with Mummy from 18 months. These are enjoyable classes to share with your child.
Susan Hill School of Dancing has a range of Adult classes offering Adult Tap, Adult Ballet and Dance Exercise these are available both during the daytime and evening.
Students are prepared for examinations under the IDTA dance syllabus and we have a biennial dance show. Students interested in additional performance opportunities are invited to join our Dance Company from the age of 11.
Teachers within the Susan Hill School of Dancing offer a range of dance genres and are available for workshops and work within acaedemic schools. Choreography is available on request for special events and our Dance Company of performers are available for performance on request.
We are also delighted to be associated with BDC Theatre College https://bdctheatrecollege.com a full time Performing Arts Course for age 16+ years. The course offers a level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts and is open to all with generous funding available to students. BDC is based at our premises at Victoria Hall Radstock. www.victoriahallradstock.co.uk

With over 40 years of teaching experience Sue brings a wealth of knowledge to our staff. Deciding at a young age that teaching was her passion Sue started her own school, the Susan Hill School of Dancing in 1982 and his since taught thousands of children across all levels. With a BA honours in Dance, Sue has produced a number of shows and provided dancers for many corporate events including the Paralympics in 2012 and most recently Sky Sports. Sue additionally owns a boutique agency which represents a number of clients currently working in film, television and theatre.
George HillBallet TeacherBorn in Bath, George started dancing at his mothers’ dancing school the Susan Hill School of Dancing in Bath. He then continued his training at The Royal Ballet School in London. Upon graduation George went on to dance throughout Europe joining the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam and later the Dresden Semperoper Ballet in Germany dancing as a soloist as well as guesting in America and Asia. His repertoire includes works by famous choreographers including: Ashton Macmillan, Mat Eks, Kylian and Forsythe. Alongside performing on stage, George has taken on a number of roles in Television and film work. Most recently George was in the world premiere of McQueen, The Play in London’s West End.
Charlotte MarshCommercial DanceCharlotte started training with BDC Director Sue Hill before completing her training in London. Charlotte is signed by SHH! talent and works commercially as a dancer alongside teaching and choreography.
Suzanne MarshTeacherZoe MaggsBTEC ModulesBorn in Bath Zoe trained under the direction of BDC Director Sue Hill before going on to work as a dancer and musical theatre performer nationally. Her theatre credits include : Carousel, 42nd Street, Sweeney Todd, Sleeping Beauty, Jack and the Beanstalk and toured nationally as Pip in the Skyline Gang.
