DanceTech Ballroom Academy provides friendly, professional dance tuition for adults, children and teenagers in Bollington, near Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Whether you’re a complete beginner taking your first steps, an experienced dancer wanting to improve your technique, or simply looking for an enjoyable and sociable way to learn to dance, we have classes to suit a wide range of ages and abilities.

Our adult programme includes Beginners, Improvers, Intermediate and Advanced classes, with tuition in Ballroom, Latin American and Modern & Classical Sequence dancing. Adult classes are pay as you go with no term fees, giving you the flexibility to attend when it suits you.

We also offer Ballroom & Latin and Street & Freestyle classes for children and teenagers, with opportunities to learn for enjoyment, build confidence and progress through recognised IDTA examinations.

Professional Dance Teacher Training

DanceTech also provides professional dance teacher training for dancers wishing to gain recognised IDTA teaching qualifications or further develop their existing professional qualifications.

Training is individually tailored and can include Ballroom, Latin American, Classical & Modern Sequence, Freestyle/Street, American Smooth and other IDTA professional qualifications. Whether you are considering becoming a dance teacher for the first time or are an existing teacher wishing to progress to higher professional qualifications, we can provide structured tuition and guidance throughout your training.

DanceTech is led by Peter Bailey, IDTA Fellow and IDTA Examiner, with more than 30 years of dance teaching experience, providing professional candidates with the benefit of extensive teaching, examining and industry experience.

We also offer private lessons for complete beginners through to experienced dancers, tailored to individual goals, as well as wedding and first dance tuition.

Classes and tuition take place at Bollington Civic Hall, near Macclesfield, providing an excellent environment for dancing with a quality sprung dance floor.
