Kensway

Kensway Dance club has been running for 25 years in various south west London locations. Founded by head ballroom and Latin teacher Kenneth Bland, its home for the past 17 years has been the internationally famous Starlight Ballroom Dance studio at Streatham in south west London.

Streatham’s Starlight Studio was founded by the renowned world ballroom and Latin champions, Bill and Bobbie Irvine in the 1960’s. It is now a world centre of teaching during the day for international professional and amateur dancers who come to study ballroom and Latin dancing from around the Globe. The Starlight Ballroom is now run by a consortium of famous dancers including the former world champions Marcus and Karen Hilton.

The social side of this dance school is open to the public to come and learn basic ballroom and Latin steps. Social ballroom dancing is non-competitive ballroom and Latin dancing. Our ballroom and Latin dancing can be followed, if desired, through private ballroom and Latin lessons starting at a basic level.
