The Dance School

A friendly fun school giving pupils a good balance between the discipline of graded ofqual regulated exams and fun creative performance opportunities. Past pupils have had the opportunity to dance in theatres such as Her Majestys Theatre and Sadler’s Wells. Pupils have also been invited to dance for Big Dance (the Parons lunch, The Queens 90th Birthday celebration) in Trafalgar Square. Other performance highlights include dancing in the Speilgetent (Blackheath Common) in connection to the 2012 Olympic Big Screen events, also in 2012 pupils danced in connection to the Queens Jubilee on Bexleyheath Broadway and in Sutcliffe Park (Greenwich borough) we were invited to perform at the openning ceremony of the Greenwich Schools celebration. We also produce our own theatre productions in local theatres giving all of the pupils the opportunity to showcase their talents. We pride ourselves for our creativity, enjoying connecting dance concepts and themes to costumes/lighting/props and backdrops. Past shows include Summer Sensation, Cirque Du Dance, 10 years of The Dance School, Christmas Capers, License to Dance, School Rules, Dance Doctor, A-Z of Dance, Musicality. 20 years of experience entering pupils for examinations in Ballet, Tap, DFR, Rock and Roll, Alternative Rhythm, Musical Theatre (Levels and Medals), Ballroom and Latin. Excellent pass rates achieved over this time. The Dance School has a modern, fresh outlook which is reflected in our styling and showcases. We welcome new members throughout the year and offer a free trial session.
