Deaton School of Dance offers classes for children from aged three years right through to adults of all ages – whether your want to take up a new hobby, would like to take dance exams, or compete in local and international competitions. Our school has been established for more than 25 years and is still going strong ! Just ask our pupils !

- Yvonne DeatonPrincipal
Yvonne has been a professional dance teacher since the age of 17 and holds IDTA Fellowship qualification in Sequence dance and IDTA Licentiate in Standard, Latin, Freestyle Dance forms as well as dance exercise and salsa diplomas. She is currently chairperson of the Irish Assoc of dance teachers and activiely promotes competitions for children and adults in Ireland. Yvonne has trained many of her students for professional qualifications as well as many past All Ireland Champions. Children also compete in Blackpool, most recently in Champions of Tomorrow and Yvonne also encourages all pupils to take IDTA Medal Test Examinations annually.
Michelle TigheStudent TeacherMichelle, who is Yvonne's daughter, has been dancing all her life and completed her Pre Associate Exam with IDTA last year. She is currently studying for her Professional Associate which she hopes to take in April 2015 and helps Yvonne with all her classes.
Shannon LeonardStudent TeacherShannon has been a pupil of Yvonne's since she was 7 year old and has always competed as a child - she is currently studying for her Associate Examination, having completed her Pre Associate last year, and hopes to take her first Professional Exam in April 2015. She helps out with classes on Saturday.
