Mayo School of Ballet has been running successfully in Co Mayo for 20 years. Children are prepared for IDTA Classical Ballet examinations on a biyearly basis. When the students are not preparing for exams they are working towards their school performance which includes a variety of dance styles and music variations.
Students are encouraged to attend workshops and master classes around the country to gain as much knowledge as possible from a variety of teachers and performers and in house workshops are regularly organised.
Classes run in conjunction with school terms and there is the option of summer school courses in the month of July.

Sarah Thornton Callaghan
School Principal L.I.D.T.A
Sarah trained at the London Studio Centre in Dance and Musical Theatre and toured the UK performing in West End Musicals. Since moving to Ireland in 2009 Sarah performed leading roles in musicals in Dublin and Cork whilst starting her teaching career. Sarah teaches in both Dublin and Mayo preparing children for examinations and performance. Sarah is also the Ballet Mistress for the Irish National Youth Ballet Company.
