Dance Point offers a wide range of classes for young people and adults, from beginners to advanced levels. As well as IDTA examination classes we also offer classes in Zumba, Karate, Kung Fu, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Contemporary and Wedding Dances.

Whether students want to dance for a hobby or competitively, we have something to offer that is fun, inclusive and social.

Throughout the year, we provide a large number of events from training camps, internships, masterclasses, workshops, competitions, shows, thematic parties and classes, exam sessions, etc.

We are a team of qualified and registered teachers and professionals, who with qualifications, work experience, valued relationships and passion deliver excellence.

Samuel Ferreira

Owner

Samuel is an IDTA registered professional dance teacher in Ballroom and Latin, with a degree in Management.
As amateur dancer (1999-2003) he won all the major titles and competitions in Portugal, represented his country through all these years and he is proud to be part of the first edition of the WDC Championships Amateur League.
As Professional dancer (2003-2016) he has been two times Portuguese National Champion and represented Portugal in the WDC World and European Championships. Through all these years as a dancer and competitor, Samuel has also been a dance teacher. Teaching and Studying Ballroom and Latin is his great passion - a passion that he discovered through dance and dancing. Being nominated and Winning the IDTA John Dilworth Scholarship Award in 2013 is one of the highlights in his still young career. ‘Dancing’, ‘Teaching’, ‘Judging’, ‘Examining’, ‘Studying’, ‘Learning’, and ‘Continuously Improving’ are his keywords for his Professional future and goals in dance. Samuel has the sense of commitment and responsibility together with a great personality and a considerable teaching ability and experience.
