Established over 35 years ago, Hazlemere School of Dancing offers a range of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Freestyle and Adult Classes. We offer IDTA exams in Ballet, Tap and Freestyle, as well as putting on a school show every two years at the Maidenhead Town Hall.
Classes are run by experienced teachers and we aim to cater for all levels and abilities from age 3 upwards. Our Baby Ballet classes offer a great introduction to the technique of Ballet, through fun games and exercises, which help to develop rhythm, co-ordination, motor skills, social skills and confidence. Our Adult Classes offer a great opportunity for fun, fitness and also socialising, for both beginners and those returning to dance. We offer Adult Classes at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.
We are conveniently located at Hazlemere Community Centre, Rose Avenue, within walking distance of many local schools including Manor Farm, Hazlemere C of E and Sir William Ramsey. We are also within easy reach of High Wycombe town centre, Beaconsfield, Amersham and the surrounding area.

Vicky has worked as a Freelance Dance Teacher and Choreographer for over 12 years. After attending Hazlemere School of Dancing as a child, she studied at the University of Chester gaining a BA Honours in ‘Dance Studies with Arts and Cultural Management’. Since then, she has worked at a number of Dance schools and Primary and Secondary schools teaching Ballet, Tap, Modern and Street Dance classes, as well as leading workshops, after-school clubs and INSET training days.
in 2014, after 10 years of teaching at HSD, Vicky took over the running of the school from Sue Winfield. Since then she has introduced new classes, including Adult Ballet. Vicky hopes to continue to develop and expand the school, whilst still maintaining it's high standards and ethos.
Vicky is an Associate of the IDTA in both Ballet and Freestyle, she also holds current certificates for First Aid and is fully insured and DBS checked.Hannah WhiteSenior TeacherHannah has been a Freelance Dance Teacher and professional performer for the past decade. Since graduating from Redroofs Theatre School in 2000, she has worked as a singer, dancer, actress and choreographer. Hannah has taught at Hazlemere School of Dancing for over 12 years and in that time has choreographed all the Tap and Modern numbers for our bi-annual shows. Hannah is an experienced and talented teacher, who is a great asset to the HSD team. Her enthusiasm and flair for choreography make her classes both challenging and enjoyable.
