Step by Step Ballroom believes that dancing should be a fun and enjoyable experience and we strive to offer tuition in a
friendly and relaxed environment. Our classes are open to all, irrespective of ability or background. Regular social events are held throughout the year.

We also hold regular examination sessions for pupils who wish to take medal tests. This is an excellent way for pupils to measure their progress.

Susan Stopps

Principal

Susan’s first experience of ballroom dancing was at the age of 11 in East London where she continued to dance throughout her teenage years and became a student teacher. Susan qualified in 1976 and taught junior and adult pupils of all
standards in London for a number of years until moving to Cambridgeshire. Susan is qualified in both Ballroom and Latin and is a Fellow member of the IDTA.

Colin Rayner

Teacher

Colin began dancing at the age of 9 and started competing a year later. He represented Eastern Counties at national finals in both juvenile and junior age groups. Specialising in Old Time and Modern Sequence, he moved into the adult competition ranks, winning many championships. He is a former East of England Open and Closed champion and was a member of the Eastern Counties team in the original Come Dancing TV series. Colin is an Associate Member of the IDTA.
