AIM Dance Group CIC are a community based dance school which puts the focus on building children’s confidence, rather than technique, therefore we reward our students for a range of attributes! We hold a wide variety of classes for ages 2+ allowing all to join in with a huge range of styles appealing to both boys and girls!
Our job is all about the student enjoying themselves and their sense of achievement after a show, exam, competition or class. This builds the students confidence massively and that is what are dance group is all about. We also children about fitness and discipline through dance in a fun and creative way, while also incorporating team building activities as well as opportunities to individually showcase their skills.
Throughout the year we have several performances and invite our pupils to take part in IDTA examinations giving them goals and targets to aim for.
We do respect each individual and do not force participation in anything, it is your choice!
AIM Dance Group CIC were finalists in Virgin Moneys 2013 Big Kick Off and through this we presented our school to Sir Richard Branson & had a small documentary made about us. We also were finalists in the If you can We can young entrepreneurs competitions and featured in several local newspapers as well as BBC Look North. We were entered into these competitions for our unique focus of building children’s self esteem!
We have a 100% IDTA exam pass rate & our competition teams have been very successful having numerous finalists in street dance competitions and numerous medals and awards won in dance festivals all over the north east including IDTA Medalist of the Year.No Records Found

- Jessica HebronOwner, Director, Principal, Teacher
Jessica is 25 years old and has danced since the age of 3. Jessica has trained & taken IDTA exams in Tap, Disco, Jazz, Cheerleading and Street dance. She has also performed in various charity events around the region and has danced in the world famous Sadlers Wells, London.Jessica holds a teaching degree in freestyle dance through the IDTA, a BTEC national diploma in Advanced Dance, a BA Honors degree in Dance and Sport, a PGCE & a IDTA Anatomy and Physiology Diploma. Through those qualifications she has trained in Contemporary, Ballet, Musical theatre, Drama, Singing and Lyrical dance. Jessica has worked throughout the region with councils and other organizations providing dance and sport sessions for shows, festivals, examinations and grades.
Galina JewittOwner, Director, Principal, TeacherGalina is 22 years old & has danced since the age of 3 years. She has trained & taken IDTA exams in Ballet, Tap, Disco, Jazz, Cheerleading, Street dance and Contemporary. Galina has also performed in various charity events around the region and has danced in the world famous Sadlers Wells, London. Galina is a qualified dance teacher through the IDTA with a teaching degree in Freestyle Dance. She holds a BA honors degree with Northumbria University & is currently studying for a PCGE in primary education. She holds a Level 2 Community Sports Leaders award and an IDTA Anatomy and Physiology Diploma. Galina has worked throughout the region as a dance coach and has choreographed routines for events, festivals, shows etc.
Jodie ShortTeacherJodie is 22 years old and has danced since the age of 2. Jodie has trained and taken IDTA examinations in Ballet, Theatre craft , Tap, Modern jazz, Musical theatre, freestyle disco and has also trained in contemporary , commercial, urban and lyrical dance. Other examinations include LAMDA drama and singing grades. Jodie obtains a BA Hons degree in Musical Theatre as well as a PGCE in post compulsory education. Professionally Jodie has performed as a dancer at various different charity events in Newcastle upon Tyne and Essex as well as performing at the Battersea barge London and St James theatre London.
