The Studio Dance and Theatre academy formally known as Vicki Durning School of Dance, is an outstanding dance school in Dronfield offering a variety of IDTA classes for children, teens and adults. The only school in the area to offer extensive stage experience through shows and competitions. We offer a high quality standard of teaching along with specialist coaching for students wanting to pursue dance and musical theatre as a career.
We believe that versatility is essential for those who may be seeking a career in dance or the arts alike and therefore high quality, experienced teaching from earliest years is essential to give the best possible advantage to our students for now and looking into the future.
The Studio is a fantastic school to be a part of, we are passionate about dance and the level of teaching provided to each and every child, we are always striving towards excellence and providing a fun filled and friendly environment to learn in. We look to build confidence in all of our children, help them create friendships and allow them to express themselves through movement and music. Natasha trained at the former school name Vicki Durning School of Dance from a very young age competing in many festivals and competitions, including the All England Dance Finals in London and being nominated for the IDTA awards in all genres on multiple occasions, as well as making the Grand Final at the prestigious Miss Dance of Great Britain. At 18 Natasha moved to London to further her training at London Studio Centre where she received the Wall Trust Scholarship.
Upon completion of her BA Hons degree course Natasha successfully auditioned for Royal Caribbean, and spent 2 years based in South East Asia as Dancer and Aerial Captain. She has also worked with Las Vegas producers and Choreographers such as Kevin and Marcel Wilson and Douglas Johnson. Natasha has danced at the World Famous Royal Opera House as part of the Pet Shop Boys World Tour – Inner Sanctum. Having grown up on the IDTA syllabus and being a demonstrator for the Tap faculty for a number of years Natasha now holds a Level 4 teaching Diploma in Ballet, as well as being trained in PBT, she continues to train alongside Vicki Durning for her other teachers exams.
