Hello, we are Emma Bailey-Hague and Jason Plenty, the directors of Starbrite Studios School of Performing Arts. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our school where you will find both exciting and inspiring dance, drama and gymnastic classes suitable for both recreational and pre-professional performers from ages 20 months through to adult.
We are committed to delivering high-quality training and always strive to look at ways we can improve our service within the community of Market Weighton and East Yorkshire.

- Emma Bailey-HagueCreative Director and Principal
Emma has a wealth of experience mentoring and delivering pre-vocational training at a highly successful dance academy since 2001. She obtained her first IDTA teaching qualification at the age of just 16. Today, she currently holds a Fellowship, the highest technical qualification awarded by the IDTA, for tap and ballet, in addition to Licentiate qualifications in Modern-Jazz, Theatre Craft, and Freestyle. She holds an Anatomy and Physiology Diploma, a Level 4 Diploma in authentic street dance, and is certified to Level 2 with Acrobatic Arts.
Emma ran her successful cabaret troupe, ‘Wicked', in which she performed alongside two other dancers touring around large corporate events and sporting events.
In 2001, Emma toured with the winner of BBC's 'Star for a Night', Mark Kerrins, performing vocals and choreography to sell-out audiences. She has also performed as a professional dancer in numerous other productions, toured as a can-can dancer for three years, worked professionally in pantomimes, and is an in-demand national adjudicator.
Emma is renowned for her energy, enthusiasm, and humour when teaching, as well as her passion and dedication to helping all pupils to achieve their potential.Destiny SparkesTeacherMiss Destiny joined Starbrite's Street and Tap classes in 2011 at the age of 10. Over the years she has joined more classes and worked hard to achieve fantastic exam results. She also started helping out as a Classroom Assistant and quickly made strong relationships with every child she came into contact with.
In 2017 she joined the very first student cohort of Starbrite's sister company, Triplestar College of Performing Arts, and whilst working on a BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Dance, has excelled in technique and confidence in all her subjects. She completed her training in July 2019.
In January 2019, Miss Destiny also joined Starbrite's teaching faculty on a part-time basis and became full-time after graduating from college. She has become a very valuable asset to Starbrite and we feel extremely lucky to have her on our staff. -
