- Charlotte RicePrincipal
Charlotte has danced from a very young age and went on to pursue a career in dance by gaining a place on the professional theatre dance course at Phil Winstons Theatreworks.
She has achieved recognised Associate dance teacher qualifications with the I.D.T.A, and continues to extend her knowledge consistently.
As Charlotte has trained professionally, not only in Dance but in Acrobatics and ZUMBA, she understands the requirements to be a performer, and she has good knowledge on techniques and tips to be a successful applicant for dance college/university. Charlotte passes this knowledge on to students who want to pursue a career in this industry. Charlotte holds lots of performance experience across various venues throughout the UK, as well as performing for the Great Britain & New Zealand Rubgy Team, choreographing for ITV and schools, sixth forms and colleges across Lancashire.
Charlotte is also a Level 3 First Aider and has passed the 'Safeguarding & Protecting Children' course. She is recognised as one of only two Dance School principals in Bolton to hold an accredited 'Bolton Mark' through the council, and has held this consecutively for six years. Charlotte has won awards including 'Best Dance School in Bolton', and 'Outstanding Achievement Award' from the local mayor.
Rhiannon DobsonTeacher of GymnasticsRhiannon has taught at Aspire Gymnastics for five years. Within the gymnastics classes she coaches the students on how to build technique, strength and flexibilty, as well as working on awards created by the BGA. Rhiannon teaches students of all different abilities, and she personally trained at Wigan and Ashton Gymnastics club.
Rhiannon started gymnastics when she was 8 years old. Since, she has won many medals, and she is qualified in level 1 and level 2 gymnastics coaching. She has competed in many different gymnastics events and has thorough knowledge on her expertise, she is always happy to pass this knowledge on to her students.
Rhiannon is also First Aid trained by St Johns Ambulance.
Amelia HughesTeacher of Ballet, Tap, Modern and Street DanceAmelia has been dancing from a young age in ballet, tap, modern jazz, ballroom and Latin. At the age of 18 she gained a place at Phil Winston's theatre works on a 3 year professional dance and musical theatre course gaining IDTA teaching qualifications . She then went on to dance professionally on P&O cruises for Headliners theatre company travelling the world. Amelia has also performed at events across the world and Christmas productions in the U.K.
She has always had a passion for teaching and wants to pass her knowledge down to young aspiring dancers.Amelia is first aid trained by St.John's ambulance.
Abbi HoldenTeacher of Street DanceAbbi has been dancing since the age of 3. She began by taking weekly classes in ballet tap and modern until she gained her Advanced Level Grades. At the age of 16 she discovered her love for street dance and since then, has been training in this style continuously. Her training includes the Dana Foglia Mentorship Programme (Beyonces Choreography), Los Angeles, and intensive dance camps all over Europe.
Abbi has been teaching for the past 7 years and teaches regular classes and workshops in various places across the UK and has also taught internationally in Russia Norway and Poland.
Commercially, Abbi has worked on shows such as BBC's 'The Sarah Millican Show' and behind Rita Ora on 'The X Factor', aswell as a Michael Jackson Tribute Show touring Majorca. Other credits include Adidas, New Look, Hard Rock Cafe, JD Sports.
Abbi also has a PGCE in Commercial Dance (Higher Education).
Emma GilbertsonTeacher of Drama and Musical TheatreEmma started performing at a young age – regularly performing in musicals, pantomimes and plays and being nominated for numerous awards for her performances across the North West.
Emma went on to study Musical Theatre at University in Buckinghamshire. She was then accepted onto a screen acting course at The Manchester School of Acting, where she studied acting for television and film. Emma continues to pursue her career in acting – when she is not teaching at Aspire or at other Theatre companies!
Emma is really passionate about drama and acting and the positive effects this can have on children. She believes drama should be fun and engaging in order to bring out the best in her students. Being trained in many areas of drama and acting, Emma has a wide range of skills to provide the children with an education in many areas of performance.
