Footsteps is a dance school founded in 1995 specialising in Teaching Ballroom, Latin, Rock’n’Roll and Freestyle. We also teach Musical Theatre, Street and Contemporary.
We also offer private tuition and exercise classes.
We encourage our pupils to maximize their potential as stage performers through our bi-annual shows at the Haymarket Theatre.
We are all qualified teachers with the International Dance Teachers Association.

Janine Sadler

Principal

Our principal and has been dancing since a very young age. She has two daughters, Morgan and Abbie, who both dance with us and her husband Darran does alot of practical behind the scenes work. She offers professional tuition and has now trainer six new teachers.
Qualified in 1991 and holds the following qualifications:
Associate Latin branch
Associate Cheeleading
Associate Rock'n'Roll
Associate Freestyle
Fellowship Freestyle
Diploma in Sports Pyschology
YMCA Exercise to Musics Qualification
Associate Street Qualification
Janine as has also helped choreograph the last 2 BATS Next Gen Productions

Kelly Morris

Vice Principal

Our vice principal has also been dancing for many years. Kelly holds NNEB in Childcare and is a qualified first aider.
She has years experience in Management Childcare.
Kelly teaches our younger age groups and her experience with children is second to none. The children love coming to dancing on a Saturday mroning and are always sad to leave and that is down to Kelly.

Claire Lemar

Rosette & Star Dance Teacher

Claire is a pupil turned teacher. She danced with Footsteps as a child and qualified as a dance teacher in 2006. Claire holds an Associate Freestyle qualification.

Craig Cheshire

Street Dance Teacher

Our qualified Street teacher and has been with Footsteps since very young children having had remarkable success at regional and national level. Trained by Janine, he is a huge asset to the school.

James Mckenzie

Contemporary Dance Teacher

Another past pupil who went on to study Dance at Winchester University specialising in Contemporary. Now teaching his own class. James passed his IDTA Freestyle exam becoming a certified teacher

Michaela Knight

Contemporary Dance Teacher

Along with her family, she has danced with us from a very young age & has been a big part of the dance school. We are also pleased to accept Michaela as an official teacher with us after passing her IDTA Freestyle award.

Luannsa Goodman

Student/Teacher

Luannsa has been dancing since the age of 7 and won numerous trophies in Street, Freestyle & Rock'n'Roll, recently placing 3rd in the country in her final competition. Staring in numerous BATs productions. She helps out teaching street & contemporary & is currently studying to become a dance teacher.
