Our aim is to provide children and adults of all ages with training and confidence to achieve their goals within a friendly, fun and hard working environment.
Various classes are held in Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre, Modern Jazz, Freestyle, Acrobatics, Theatrecraft, Hip Hop as well as Insanity and Stretching and Limbering. These classes take place at our studios in Hinckley, Barwell, Sapcote and Ibstock in Leicestershire.
Rochelle is a registered member of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and numerous examination sessions are held throughout the year. The purpose of this is for pupils to progress with the IDTA examining body.
Our school show is held at Concordia Theatre every 2-3 years to allow students to perform the skills learnt and to gain invaluable experience and confidence.
Rochelle The Dance School has its own Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding Policy, which are available on request.

Led by Miss Kaye we are lucky to have an array of visiting teachers. Each teacher specialises in a different type of dance or performing art. They come from college, teaching and performing backgrounds bringing with them a vast amount of experience and knowledge. This allows students to have an excellent all round and well balanced training. All staff both teaching and administrative have been checked and cleared with the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) - Formally known as Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) to ensure parents peace of mind.

L.I.D.T.A (Ballet, Theatrecraft, Tap)Debbie BatchelorTeacher of Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Stretching and LimberingI began my dance lessons at Rochelle's Sapcote Branch where I was the first pupil of age 2 1/2 and over the years I have achieved IDTA Intermediate Qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz. In 1994 I started to help in class at Sapcote where I began to learn the skills and art of teaching and Choreography. Four years later I taught my first class at Rochelle and have since never looked back.
I have performed at Hinckley Concordia Theatre with the Amateur Operatic Society and the Tinhatters, The Y Theatre (Leicester) in Pantomime, The Three Spires Amateur Operatic Society (Coventry), The Royal Albert Hall (London) with a youth group and The Haymarket Theatre (Leicester).
Dancing started as a hobby for me and I enjoy it just as much as the first day I started.I am very glad Miss Kaye let me start on that day back in 1984!

A.I.D.T.A (Ballet, Tap)Jessica EdwardsTeacher of Ballet, Tap, Theatrecraft, Musical Theatre and InsanityMoving to London at 18 I studied for my professional diploma in ballet and performing arts at The Urdang Academy of Dance. During this time I Danced with The European Ballet Company, choreographed and danced in Showcase of Talent 2000, performed in Aspects Of Dance at the prestigious Lyceum Theatre in the West End and joined the London Urdang Company.
My international credits are Carnival cruise lines and Disneyland Paris.
My television credits include Tribute to Hot Gossip, Kristine Blonds Love Shy, American Power Company- Enion and the BBC TV drama- Family Tree.
More recently I have choreographed 'Kiss Me Kate' for the Community Guild in 2009 and co-choreographed 'Footloose' for the Youth Theatre for 2012.
A.I.D.T.A (Ballet)Karen MartinGuest teacher of Ballet, Modern Jazz and AcrobaticsHaving trained initially with my mother I went on to Pattison's Theatre Arts (Coventry). I have a successful Dance and Musical Theatre school in Tamworth and enjoy guest teaching at Rochelle.
A.I.D.T.A (Modern Jazz, Ballet, Tap)Lisa MarshTeacher of Freestyle Modern JazzI trained with Miss Smith from age 2 1/2, turning professional at 18 years with tv choreographer Brian Rogers and later working with Nicky Hinckley.
Theatre credits include Pantomimes and Summer Seasons with Cilla Black, Les Dawson, Freddie Starr and Little and Large.
TV credits include Variety work and Christmas Specials with Ken Dodd at The London Palladium. TV award show with Cliff Richard, The Royal Variety Performance, Poll Winners Party, Docklands Arena with Take That, Hale and Pace comedy series and Jim Davidson's Generation Game.
Many tours, caberets,fashion shows and conferences followed before returning to Hinckley and having two children.
Over many years I've choreographed numerous musicals for Hinckley Concordia Amateur Operatic Society as well as running a Theatrical Costumiers at The Loft in Barwell.
I have now come full circle and am teaching Commercial Jazz back at Rochelle! -
