The Verrico School of dance has been established for almost 30 years teaching adults to dance socially. We teach in a friendly, social environment from absolute beginner through to advanced level. We organise regular events for our dancers, including a weekly social ballroom dance, dancing weekends away in quality hotels in the UK for both ballroom dancers and line dancers, and from time to time, organise holidays abroad . Ballroom and Latin classes are held on Tuesday evenings at St John Ambulance Ballroom in Wright Street, Southport and Ballroom, Latin and Popular Sequence classes are held every Thursday at United Church Halls, Lord Street West, Southport. Linedancing classes are held every Tuesday morning at St John Ambulance.

- Lee VerricoLee Verrico
Lee has been teaching adults since 1996, and is a third
generation teacher of dancing, her late grandmother,
mother and father all being teachers of Ballroom Dancing.
Lee teaches Latin partnered by her husband Wayne, and
together they create a fun, but structured learning
environment for their students. In her Ballroom classes,
Lee is usually partnered by Tony Jolly who is highly
experienced within the senior competitive world for both
Sequence and Standard Ballroom Dancing. Lee is very
experienced in organising social dancing events and
holidaysRobert VerricoSchool PrincipalRobert (Bob) started Ballroom dancing at the age of 13in
London and met his wife Virginia at a Ballroom dance in
Devon. Bob and Virginia became very active in the Senior
competitive circuit in both the UK and New Zealand, and
enjoyed great success. Following on from the competition
world, Bob and Virginia trained professionally, and launched
the Verrico School of Dance in 1986, teaching both adults and
children Robert has trained several students who have
successfully become teachers in their own right, including
daughter Lee. For the last decade, Robert has also been
teaching for the cruise lines P and O and for Saga.Virginia VerricoSchool PrincipalVirginia has been dancing from the age of 3. Her mother
Kay, first started teaching Ballroom dancing in Devon
before World War II, and was later accompanied by the
young Virginia. Virginia and husband Bob were very
successful in the senior competive field, which motivated
them to turn professional and launch the Verrico School
of Dance in 1986. A talented choregographer, Virginia
choreographed the "Bang Bang Dance" which won the
prestigious International Dance of the Year competion
which is recognised by the British Dance Council -
