Coppelia School of Dance holds classes for ages 2½ years to Pre-College training in Taverham, Norwich, Toftwood and Dereham. Our teachers are fully qualified members of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and also hold additional Qualifications.
Core Subjects include:
- Classical Ballet
- Modern Theatre Dance
- Tap
- Modern Jazz
- Gymnastic Dance
Students may take IDTA Examinations in all of these disciplines.

We always offer the best opportunities for our students and we are often contacted by West End Producers for Films and London Shows.

Miss Harte began her Dance training with IDTA, initially in Ballroom and Latin American Dancing, competing at major UK competitions. She then went on to qualify with IDTA in both Classical Ballet and Modern Theatre Dance. Miss Harte also has extensive classical Singing training, initially with The Guildhall School of Music and has an Associate in Musical Theatre Singing, Honours in Performance with the London College of Music, Thames Valley University. After completing this she went on to achieve her Licentiate in Musical Theatre and also received an Award for the highest level attained for the Academic year.
Miss Harte has an established performance career and has also produced and directed numerous Theatre productions.Aurora HarteTeacher - IDTA AF. AChl. Ant & Phy Dip. London College of Music: ALCMAurora has been dancing since she was 4 years old. She has performed Professionally in numerous Theatre Productions. Aurora has qualifications in Drama and Theatre Studies, an Associate in Musical Theatre Singing, Honours in Performance with the London College of Music, Thames Valley University, and an IDTA Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology. She has also achieved her Pre-Associates in Classical Ballet, President Awards with Honours in Modern Theatre Dance and Classical Ballet, and Associate Teaching Qualifications in Freestyle Dance. She is also a qualified Cheerleading Coach with IDTA and the British Cheerleading Association.
Astrid-Adele HarteTeacher - IDTA ATC. DEx. Dip Ant & Phy Dip. BA(Hons) Professional Dance DevelopmentAstrid-Adele started dancing at the age of 4 and made her stage Debut at the age of 5 at the Theatre Royal, Norwich. Her experience in Drama, Musical Theatre and Singing earned her the Title role of "Oliver!" in 1999, which was featured on ITV. Throughout all her Examinations with IDTA, Astrid has achieved Honours or Highly Commended results, and holds Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals in Classical Ballet, Theatre Craft, Modern Jazz, Freestyle and Cheerleading. At the age of 16, Astrid achieved her Professional Performers Qualification with IDTA and continued her studies with Coppelia School of Dance to attain her Pre-Associates 1 & 2 soon afterwards with Honours. She was one of the youngest members of IDTA to achieve her Associate when she was only 18 years old. She also holds IDTA Diplomas in Anatomy and Physiology and Dance Exercise. She has since been featured in IDTA's International Magazine after Graduating with her Honours Degree in Professional Dance Development.
