LANS School of dance

We cater for all grades from beginners to professional level, adults and children.

We also offer a professional teacher training.

We have been established in great Yarmouth for 20 years offering ballroom and Latin dance classes for beginners and intermediate’s .

Private lessons are also available for adults and children beginners through to professional level.

We have regular themed dinner dance evenings which all are welcome to attend , ballroom, Latin, and also sequence dancing is played at these events.

We also run regular medal test examinations for adults and children.

The proprietors of the dance school are Nigel and his wife Larinda Smith.

Nigel and Larinda had an amateur competing career spanning over 20 years winning numerous titles at all grades through to many championships , which included representing England at home and abroad before deciding to turn professional in 1996.

Nigel now specialises in training students to pass their professional teaching exams, One of his recent success stories has been in Zabrina Ford Who passed her professional exams at the very young age of 17.

Zabrina now teachers along side Nigel and Larinda and is also available helping in their class and also for private lessons .

Zabrina also teaches Zumba at which she also excels .

Larinda specialises in training couples to a high level of competitive dancing she has numerous success stories of couples winning Blackpool Champions of tomorrow titles.
