The Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy

Established in 2010, we are a multi-award-winning, highly successful, family run Dance Academy offering Dance lessons to IDTA & BATD examination level in Tap, Modern, Ballet, Street, Freestyle, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Acrobatics for children aged 2 and upwards.  We also offer weekly adult lessons in Ballet, Tap and Line dancing. Our lessons take place at our own studios on the Gallowfields Trading Estate, near the centre of Richmond, North Yorkshire.  Our pupils perform at the Georgian Theatre Royal, Richmond and also in shows, charity displays and pantomimes in the Richmond and surrounding area.  We are very privileged to have strong connections with a number of Professional Performers both locally and in London’s West End who are able to deliver quality workshops and training to our students from time to time which provides fantastic opportunities for development and improvement.

The Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy is the winner of The Prestige Awards, Dance School of The Year, North Yorkshire 2022/2023.

We were awarded International Dance School of the Year 2020 by the International Dance Teachers Association and are rated Highly Recommended by Richmondshire District Council Business Excellence Awards 2020, we offer a warm welcome to all new students, your first lesson is a free taster lesson, please contact us for further information regarding lesson times and fees.
