- Miss SophiePrincipal
Miss Sophie trained at Vicki Durning school of dance since the age of 3. She gained many awards and accreditations through exam and competition work. Some highlights include national ‘All England’ gold medalist, overall senior cabaret and classical trophy winner and ballet, modern and tap scholarship nominee. Miss Sophie found her love for teaching at 16. She is a Qualified associate teacher with the IDTA, passing her most recent exam with 98%. Her other experience includes being competition captain and club captain of a high ranking university dance squad, choreographing numerous routines with great success and accreditation. This resulted in being awarded North Yorkshire Coach of the Year 2019. Miss Sophie also has a First Class Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Therapy, with a specialist interest in dance science and dance anatomy. Miss Sophie offers a wealth of knowledge through fun filled classes you’ll not want to miss!
Miss FionaGuest TeacherMiss Fiona trained at Michelle Rose Ballet School since 4 years old completing all RAD Ballet exams up to advanced. One of Miss Fiona’s highlights was performing as a Soloist with the English Youth Ballet company. Miss Fiona was also a competition captain and vice club captain of a high ranking university dance squad. She choreographed unbeaten ballet routines. Miss Fiona also trained in gymnastics since 6 years old and competed at county level. She holds a Level 2 Gymnastics coaching qualification. Miss Fiona also has a first class degree in sports coaching and is currently a PE teacher specialising in dance at private school. Miss Fiona’s love for dance and teaching is evident in every session she teaches!
