The Tracy Quaife Theatre School is based in the heart of Nottingham, with branch schools in Gamston and Whatton. The principal Tracy Quaife opened the school in 1990 after a very successful career as a professional dancer & singer, supporting many famous artists around the world, in TV and in the Theatre.
Exams are taken regularly, festivals and competitions entered of which the pupils enthusiasm and dedication are rewarded with many awards for both solo performances and groups, including qualifying for the All England Championships.
The school also plays an active role in supporting local charities and fund raising events for the community. Alongside exams and festivals the school produces its Bi -annual show at the prestigious Nottingham Playhouse to a full house.
With a wealth of experience in TV, Cabaret and Musical Theatre, Tracy encourages and guides pupils to enter the world of professional entertainment, of which a high success rate has already been achieved. However Miss Tracy’s main aim is that all children who attend her classes enjoy their dance in a happy environment gaining confidence and social skills.
We welcome boys and girls of all ages, from total beginners to experienced dancers a like.

Tracy Quaife FIDTA BT TC LIDTA MD TB
Tracy Quaife studied at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, the Christine Wheatley Dance & Drama Studios in London, and later in her career, further studies at the June Gill Studios, gaining Fellowship & Licentiate Qualifications in all core subjects.
Tracy's professional dance career took her all over the world, working with many famous artistes, in television and the West End Stage.
Alongside a very successful dance career, Tracy appeared in many big television Commercials of their time such as Levi's, Olympus Cameras with David Bailey, Sony, TV appearances for LWT Productions and appeared in many fashion shows and Corporate Events.
In 1990 Tracy decided to retire from professional contracts and hand over all her knowledge and experience to enthusiastic young pupils, eager to learn how to Pirouette, Kick, Turn and Leap, hence The Tracy Quaife Theatre Dance School was born.Louise WrightTeacherLouise Wright Associate IDTA - rinity Guild Diploma in Performing Arts.
Louise has been with The Tracy Quaife Theatre Dance School since the day she took her first few steps and has grown up with the school, gaining her Associate's .in IDTA.
Louise has performed in many shows at the Royal Concert Hall and the Nottingham Playhouse. Dance is her passion and Louise is an important part of the team coaching our younger pupils .
Rebecca MayfieldTeacherRebecca Mayfield Associate AIDTA
Rebecca became a pupil of The Tracy Quaife Dance School when she was three and has enjoyed many performances at the Royal Concert Hall, Theatre Royal, Apollo, Manchester, Sadler's Wells and Her Majesty's Theatre in London, appearing in many Pantomimes across the country.
Rebecca has studied and excelled in all IDTA Exams and has been nominated several times for the IDTA Theatre Awards gaining Special Commendations.
Rebecca is an important part of the team alongside Miss Tracy at our Gamston Branch School.
Kristy SimsTeacherKristy Sims ISTD
Kristy has been dancing since the age of 4, her passion
for dance helped her win a scholarship at Bush Davies Arts and Educational School at fourteen. Following this she spent the next three years qualifying as a teacher in Ballet, Modern and tap, passing with Distinction from Laine Theatre Arts College.Kristy then went on to work as a dancer around the world, working on a variety of cruise ships as head girl and Phantasialand in Germany where she was promoted to choreographer and danced for some of the world’s biggest acts including Michael Jackson. She has also appeared in a number of pantomimes and touring shows throughout the UK.
Kristy was also the choreographer at the Alabama Hotel in Blackpool for 14 years which won best entertainment venue in Blackpool in 2009.
Claire WalterallTeacherClaire Waterall ISTD
Claire studied at Performers College in London, training in Singing, Acting and Dance, gaining her teaching qualifications with Distinction in all core subjects. After graduation Claire performed with Sir Cliff Richard on his 'Route of Kings' Concerts at Hyde Park and then became a resident dancer on the television show 'Stars in their Eyes'.
Alongside this show Claire also worked on Top of the Pops, CD Uk, The National Lottery, The Mobo and The Brit Awards, working with many chart topping artists such as Robbie Williams, Westlife, Jamelia and Enrique Iglesias, Claire is also a resident dancer on the voice, and recently Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights Tour.
Her theatre credits include many professional pantomimes, trade and fashion shows, travelling the world on many cruise ships including the ship Caronia (sister ship to the Q.E.2.
