Established for over 25 years. Expressions offers a part time school teaching all forms of dance and gymnastics. Singing, Acting and Musical Theatre for children aged 2 years to adults. The school performs a yearly show and a yearly full scale Musical. The pupils have taken part in various performances including Royal Albert Hall, Sadler Wells, Her Majesty’s Theatre, London Palladium, Alexander Theatre Birmingham, Swan Theatre Stratford on Avon.
They have also taken part in numerous charity events.
Competitors travelled to South Africa on 3 separate occasions to compete in the South African Freestyle Championships.
Also offer a 3 years Musical Theatre course accredited with CDET (Council Dance Education and Training). The college is partnered with Buxton and Leek college and the University of Derby which also offers government funding and student loans.
Graduates go on to star in West End, UK Tours, Film and TV, Cruise Liners etc,
Expressions is also a Trinity Guildhall Examination centre and also Edexcell (Pearsons) registered.

Runner up South African Championships 1987After a successful competitive career Maxine opened the dance school in 1989. She has trained many champions in freestyle dance and has also trained many of todays professionals.
The schools ethos is to welcome new pupils into the family atmosphere so that pupils enjoy their dancing.
Claire JohnsonLatin TutorClaire is a South African latin and ballroom champion. After a professional career teaching in Austria she made her roots back in the UK with a very successful teaching career.
Michaela HarrisSenior TutorAfter dancing competitively for many years Michaela completed her 3 diploma in Musical Theatre at Expressions performing Arts and went on to complete a BA Hons degree in Theatre arts at Derby University
Louise GiddyFreestyle TutorAfter winning many Championship titles including the World Championships in Hungary Louise went on to qualify and pass her expertise onto training others.
