Julie Shacklock School of Dancing

Julie Shacklock School of Dancing is a friendly, family run, high achieving dance school. We always strive to achieve exceptional results from our pupils, in exams, competitions or within lessons and treat all our pupils as individuals.

We can offer lessons in a wide variety of dance styles and if our timetable doesn’t suit your needs it is possible to arrange private lessons at a more convenient time.

All our lessons take place in 2 spacious studios. Studio 1 is a fully equipped ballroom and Studio 2 is a ballet room; these rooms are ideally suited to accommodate all dance styles.

We offer lessons in ballroom, latin, freestyle, jazz, contemporary, ballet and pointe, street, gymnastics dance, rhythmic gymnastics, tap, stunt (by audition only), cheerleading, zumba, riverdance and freestyle teams(by audition only). Whatever the dance style you choose our main priority is your enjoyment.

Pupils can begin at our school from the age of 2 1/2 and we have classes graded by age and ability for all pupils.

The school follows the IDTA exam syllabus which is internationally recognised for its high standards however pupils do not need to take exams to attend the classes. We also take part in IDTA competitions on a regular basis.

The school has 7 dedicated teachers who are specialists in their own areas guaranteeing our pupils always receive the best learning environment for their chosen style.
