Tap, ballet, modern and freestyle dancing for children three years old plus. We also touch on the basics of the Cha cha cha, foxtrot, jive, quickstep, rumba, tango, Viennese waltz and the waltz, as part of the syllabus work.
The teachers go further to help students accomplish complex steps by repeatedly practising them with the help of a barre, starting slowly before building up the speed, splitting into groups to practise as well as other learning techniques.
Yearly examinations take place; dancers are not put in for them until they have achieved the high standard we teach to. It’s great for exercise and gaining knowledge of a specialist subject, progressing all the time. It’s not all serious; we have fun too!
