I have loved to dance since learning to walk and began my training at the age of two. I studied full time at Laine Theatre Arts graduating with a full Diploma and Associate membership of The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. Training included modern jazz, ballet, tap, national dance, singing, drama, choreography and pas de deux.
Work as a professional dancer in London and abroad was followed by self employment in costume and fashion design and then a management career in London's West End which involved ticketing and marketing theatre and special events and also managing large numbers of staff. I have also worked in catering, event management and vintage clothing
Since 2007 I have been developing my teaching career gaining the following experience and qualifications:
Accredited street dance teacher with Associate Diploma in Performing Arts Level 4, and training with Urban Strides.
Associate Ballet, Modern Jazz and Street Dance with International Dance Teachers Association
Taught ballet, tap and jazz for Nicky Jenks School of Dance from 2009 to 2013
Taught street dance to all age groups for Exeter Academy of Dance in 2012
Onpoint Dance Studios in Taunton employed me to teach a wide variety of classes in 2012
Module One acredited teacher Acrobatic Arts 2016
Sosa Dance Fitness accreditation 2016.
Child Safeguarding and Sports First Aid plus enhanced DBS.
Choreographic credits include:
Evita at the Young Actors Theatre in Islington, London 2013,
slington the Opera in spring 2014
“Dream On” and "Cinderella Rockerfella". for a local primary school.
Bespoke classes include Dance Divas, Stretch and Strengthen, My First Dance Club and the Dance Workout, plus a mens class built around the biomechanics of cricket.
The design and implementation of a programme to help primary school teachers deliver dance with confidence and joy has been extremely well-received and very rewarding. This has generated CPD Workshops at Bridgewater and Wiveliscombe for S.A.S.P. and a programme of CPD throughout several local Primary Schools.Amy LeachTeacherBallet and Lyrical Dance teacher.

Level 4 Early Childhood Studies.Claire ButlerTeacherClaire’s love for dancing started as young as she can remember when she told her mother that her feet wanted to dance! After 5 years at a local ballet school, Claire went on to train at the Hammond School of Dancing, Chester for 5 years and then the London School of Contemporary Dance for 3 years.
Claire danced professionally for 7 years abroad incorporating various styles of dance and then performed in pantomime and musicals such as Babes in the Wood, Robinson Cruso, West Side Story, Hello Dolly and 42nd Street.
Following a career change, Claire now works as a civil servant. She has also brought up two very sporty boys (regrettably not in the slightest bit interested in dance!). However, Claire has now returned to dancing and has recently completed a City and Guilds Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
Claire’s dancing qualifications include RAD and ISTD Ballet, Contemporary, ISTD Modern, National and Tap to an advanced level.
