The Amanda Holland School of Dance prides itself on being a small friendly school offering expert tuition in all aspects of Theatre Dance. Pupils are regularly entered for IDTA examinations with a 100% pass rate and the school suceeds in training children and adults for social achievement, the professional theatre and teacher progression. - Amanda TyasPrincipal
Amanda is the Principal and main teacher at the School. She began her training under Ivy Rogers competing in dance festivals around the country. Upon Ivy's retirement, Amanda continued her training under the watchful eye of Suzanne Darley-Grand, fitting her teacher training around a full time job - it was with Suzanne's encouragement that she opened her own school. Finally Amanda benefited from the expertise of the late Judith Sylvester at the Constance Grant Dance Centre in Sheffield. Amanda is the choreographer for Easy Street Theatre Company, a youth theatre based in Sheffield. She is married to Andrew and has two children, Matthew and Oliver.
Jessica CharityDance TeacherJessica trained with Amanda before moving on to Phil Winston's Theatreworks in Blackpool and Directions Theatre Arts in Chesterfield before working as a professional dancer which took her around the world. Now back at the school, Jessica has quickly established herself as a talented and popular teacher. She is currently sailing through her Level 4 teaching examinations. Jessica is married to Ross and has a daughter, Penelope.
Kathryn WhiteleyDance TeacherKathryn trained with Amanda before studying Contemporary Dance at Liverpool John Moore University, graduating with a First. Now back at the school, she teaches our contemporary classes whilst working towards her Level 4 teaching qualifications. Kathryn has a partner, Dave and two children Mia and Ray.
Sallianne Foster-MajorDrama TeacherSallianne, a professional director, graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 1994 and moved to London to teach. On her return to Sheffield, she continued to teach drama in several schools and was the founder director of the Picture House Youth Theatre before setting up Easy Street Theatre Company and its Academies. Sallianne is married to Tim and has three children Harry, Charlie and Freddie.

Gleadless United Reformed Church, Hollinsend RoadThe Amanda Holland School of Dance prides itself on offering expert tuition in all aspects of Theatre Dance from age 3 to Adult in a friendly and relaxed environment. Pupils are regularly entered for examinations with the IDTA and have the opportunity to perform in our bi-annual shows held at Springs Academy.
