he Adam Hague School Of Dance, based in its very own large dance studios in Swinton, Rotherham, offers a wide variety of avenues for all students including a yearly show production at the Rotherham Civic Theatre, entry to up to 5 exam sessions a year and to compete in the IDTA Nationwide, ADFP, BDO & UDO competitions, as well as the amazing opportunity to perform & compete in Disneyland Paris and perform at top West End theatres in London.
The school was first set up back in April 2009. We offer a wide variety of styles including Street, Ballet, Freestyle, Theatre and many more for all ages and all levels, including professional teacher training. We have put on 9 very successful show productions and currently put on a show production every year at the Rotherham Civic Theatre. We enter students for the IDTA dance exams and always have a 100% pass rate with many students receiving honours & distinctions. Students have the opportunity to take part in various dance competitions in Freestyle, Rock n Roll, Slow Dance & Street Dance, of which we have had a number of entries make it through to the National finals and win trophies at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
We also perform at many local events including at Magna and for many charity events throughout the year. We have been very lucky to have performed in Disneyland Paris as part of the International Festival Of Dance & Performing Arts in 2012 & 2014 and will be returning in October 2016. We also made our debut performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London in 2014. All staff at the dance school are CRB checked, fully insured, first aid and health & safety trained.

- Adam HagueSchool Principle/Dance Teacher
Adam is a Fellow member with the IDTA and a member of the Association of Dance & Freestyle Professionals. As well as running his own dance school, he teaches at numerous primary and secondary schools. Adam is also a qualified dance adjudicator up to championship level with the British Dance Council and has lectured around the country on a variety of dance styles, as well as being an elected member of the IDTA Committee (North East Area). Adam is also a qualified fitness and Zumba instructor and has been nominated for a Princes Trust Business Success Award for his dance school. Adam began dancing at the age of 5 with the Rotherham Dance Company before continuing his training further at the prestigious Midlands Academy of Dance & Drama where at 19 he achieved his Teacher Of Dancing certificate. He was assistant teacher at the Rotherham Dance Company for 3 years and performed in many musicals as a dancer including Fame, 42nd Street & Guys and Dolls to name but a few.
Melissa HagueAssistant TeacherMelissa is a qualified dance teacher with the International Dance Teachers Association and a member of the Association of Dance & Freestyle Professionals. As well as teaching a wide number of subjects at the The Adam Hague School Of Dance, Melissa also teaches in many local primary schools. Before qualifying as a teacher Melissa trained in Musical Theatre and competed in both ADFP & Nationwide competitions, reaching IDTA Nationwide Finals on numerous occasions in freestyle, rock n roll and street dance. Melissa began dancing at the age of 2 with the Rotherham Dance Company before moving to The Adam Hague School of Dance at the age of 15 where she then began competing. Melissa has also been nominated for a Freestyle scholarship award in 2014 with the IDTA and is now continuning her professional training further.
