The Amanda Restell Academy of Dance is based in Leigh on Sea, Essex and has over 750 pupils. We teach all aspects of theatrical dance, boasting a very experienced team of dedicated teachers. We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft, Musical Theatre, Commercial Jazz, Freestyle, Street Dance, Break Dancing and Singing. We hold multiple exam sessions a year offering the students to progress as and when they are ready. We hold a dance show every two years and a Musical Theatre and Singing show in the year inbetween. We take part in festivals and competitions and offer students plenty of opportunities to gain performance experience. Many of our students have performed in the West End, major TV drama series, children’s TV characters and films. We are represented by a London based children’s talent agency and hold auditions twice a year to be represented by them. Although our school is large, we do not loose the personal touch and every child is important to us. We like to offer a nurturing and encouraging environment within which to learn to dance and we closely monitor every childs progress. We want to make sure that every child is happy with us and will address any problems (no matter how small) to ensure that they are happy. We have 3 fully equppied dance studios boasting floor to ceiling mirrors, wall barres, fully sprung harlequin floors, professional sound systems and air conditioning. The Academy’s motto is Giving Every Little Star the Chance to Shine and we truly believe in this. We do a lot of events in conjunction with our local community as we feel it is very important for the children and we enjoy seeing our community grow.
