The Terri Jayne School of Dance was established by Terri Bowen in April 1992 in Lightwater Country Park with 4 pupils turning up on its first day. An early reputation developed for high standards of teaching and in providing a wide range of performing opportunities for all. As a result the school grew rapidly and now boasts branches in Lightwater, West End and Chobham.
Classes are available in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft, Cheerleading, Street Dance, Musical Theatre and Singing. Our classes are suitable for those who wish to attend just once a week or equally to those dance-mad and gifted students who cannot stay away.
Adult Classes are available in Tap, Lyrical Ballet and our fast moving Modern Jazz. All are suitable for beginners and Improvers.
We also have a Musical Theatre Summer School providing opportunities to pupils of all ages.

- Terri BowenPrincipal
Terri started dancing at the age of 4 in Rochester, Kent. Terri entered many dance competitions, successfully passed exams, Teachers exams and attended a full-time Dance School in London. Her Professional career started at the age of 19 with dance contracts in Tenerife, South Africa, South Korea, Portugal, Summer Seasons, Pantomimes, a member of Dougie Squires 2nd Generation and a Musical – “No No Nanette” with the late Noele Gordon. Terri is even on a South African Postage Stamp. Quodos Productions asked her to become a choreographer for their productions but she turned it down and joined the SS Canberra, P&O Cruises as Head Dancer where she worked for 5 years in one of the only and original Stadium Theatre Company at Sea. In 1991 she returned to “dry land” and formed the Terri Jayne School of Dance.
