The Lucinda Walsh School of Dance was established in February 2010 in Tolworth, Surrey.
We provide top quality dance classes for children from 2 ½ upwards. Our timetable offers a wide selection of Dance disciplines and Cheerleading classes at an affordable price.
At the Lucinda Walsh School of Dance, we offer our students the opportunity to take part in examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). We have a 100% pass rate and take great pride in our students receiving excellent results. In addition we welcome students to take advantage of participating in workshops and a variety of shows.
We also offer Dance Parties, Wedding Dance Coaching, Teacher Training and LW Dance workshops in Schools as PPA cover.
The LWSOD staff have a passion for the Performing Arts and love teaching and inspiring children. We are extremely friendly and are happy to help with any questions you may have about our classes. We offer the first class as a free trial session and we are happy to take new students all year round. All teachers are DBS checked (previously CRB) and fully insured.

- Lucinda WalshPrincipal
Lucinda began dancing at 4 years old, at a local dance school. During which time she took part in a number of shows including 'Born to Perform' at Wembley and 'Young Performers' at Her Majesty’s Theatre Haymarket. She also took part in two professional pantomimes; 'The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe' at Adrian Mann Theatre and 'Cinderella' at Epsom Playhouse. Lucinda took many IDTA and BTDA examinations, as well as taking part in many festivals at which she was awarded numerous medals. To extend her training Lucinda moved to Laine Theatre Arts as a semi student. She completed ISTD examinations, and attended their International Dance Summer Schools. Academically Lucinda graduated from Roehampton University with a BA Hons Degree in Dance Studies. Lucinda is a qualified teacher of the International Dance Teacher's Association (IDTA).
Sarah Davies-BlackmanTteacherSarah began dancing at 6 years old gaining experience in many forms of dance including ballet, theatre craft and Tap taking a keen interest in Freestyle, Hip Hop, Street and Cheerleading. Sarah graduated from the University of Surrey with a Degree in Dance, majoring in African Peoples Dance and Kathak. Sarah is the choreographer for the Southwest London Gangshow a scouting and guiding show which takes place at the Secombe Theatre every year. Whilst at the university of Surrey, Sarah completed a Sports leadership qualification in dance and whilst working with LWSOD has completed her IDTA Associate Freestyle, associate Cheer technique, anatomy and stunt diploma with the IDTA. Sarah has also gained her Associate Teacher Qualification and Certificate III in Community Recreation with the Australian Teachers of dancing (ATOD) and most recently competed her training in the ATOD 'imagine' syllabus.
