The Tyne Theatre Stage School is located in the heart of Newcastle City Centre, providing the best studio and performance facilities. We encourage pupils to experience the joy of engaging with a live audience, and stage at least one major production per year, alongside numerous opportunities for pupils to perform at charity events and in amateur/professional productions.
We offer dance lessons in Ballet, Tap, Theatre Craft, Modern Jazz, Cheerleading, Freestyle Disco and Musical Theatre alongside Acting and Singing classes. Examinations are offered in all subjects with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), London Academy of Music and Drama Art (LAMDA), and Trinity Guildhall. We have consistently achieved a 100% pass rate in all examinations with the majority of pupils receiving distinctions (over 85%).
We also offer our Scholar Program (TTSP) for pupils wishing to progress into the Performing Arts as a career. This class teaches a combination of technique and conditioning for pupils wishing to work at the highest possible level. TTSP classes are by audition only.
Many of our pupils have continued their vocational studies at specialist full-time performing arts colleges. We have seen pupils continue their studies at London Studio Centre, The Urdang Academy, Laine Theatre Arts, Arts Educational School, Bird College, Mountview Academy, LAMDA, Sylvia Young Theatre School, Guilford School of Acting, Central School of Speech and Drama and more.No Records Found
