Spellbound Academy of Dance offers classes in Freestyle, Jazz, Street, Lyrical and Pom Dance to children aged 2 and up. We offer examination classes and just for fun classes for both beginner and advanced students.
Our aim is to produce an environment for our students that is fun, inclusive and allows students to learn and achieve at their own pace.
Spellbound Academy of Dance holds IDTA examination sessions in Freestyle and Cheerleading, offering younger students Rosette awards and Medal awards for our older students.
All of our classes are taught by Principal Katie who is an Associate with the IDTA and a Recognised Teacher with the CDMT alongside first aid and safeguarding training.No Records Found

Katie began dancing at the tender age of 3 taking classes in Ballet and Tap and soon after added new styles to her repertoire including Freestyle Dance and Street Dance. After completing her Grade 5 Ballet with Distinction, she turned her head to Freestyle Dance in which she completed 17 examinations working to International Award 2 and passing 88.2% of these exams with top marks, Honours! In 2015, Katie was nominated by Dawn Parker, ex-Head of the IDTA, for a Freestyle Dance Scholarship and was lucky to compete in the national competition.
Over the years, Katie has been lucky to perform in many professional theatres including The Birmingham Hippodrome, The Royal Albert Hall and Sadler’s Wells Theatre – she hopes to offer these opportunities to her students in the future!
After completing many amateur examinations, Katie began to focus on her professional career! Katie now holds an IDTA Associate in Freestyle and an Anatomy and Physiology Diploma. Katie is also a Recognised Teacher with CDMT showing that she takes all necessary precautions to ensure her students can learn in a safe environment. Currently, she’s working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Ballet Teaching.
