Hanson Ballet Academy

Hanson Ballet Academy (formerly Hanson School of Ballet) was established 22 years ago and aims to provide high quality dance education for children and young adults.

The School specialises in ballet and students can progress through the grade levels to reach performance standard.

Children’s classes start from 3 years of age and students can continue through the examination process to achieve Intermediate or Advanced level qualification at age 18.

Young dancers will be in the care of International Dance Teacher Association (IDTA) qualified and experienced teachers in well supervised classes.

Our aim is to provide an affordable and well structured ballet education for every pre-school and school age child.

We set out to provide each child with an individualised dance experience building on his or her skills and aptitudes.

We teach in age based classes rather than delivering mixed age classes. This ensures that the quality of teaching can be sustained throughout all the grades and that students develop their skills and understanding without distraction.

We develop children’s grace in movement, and musicality. Through their achievement in examinations pupils develop self-confidence.

The Academy does not run classes for Adult beginners.
