At Refine Dance Academy, we have a passion for bringing children of all ages together to not only enhance their dance technique but also their self-esteem, confidence and social skills.
At Refine, we tailor classes to meet the needs of individual students and strive to ensure all students’ skills are improved with each lesson.
Our professionally trained IDTA and industry trained teachers are personable and supportive and are able to enhance students’ knowledge of contemporary styles, audition prep and industry knowledge.

I opened Refine Dance academy in 2022, I wanted to pass my passion for dance on to the next generation. I have trained with IDTA since a little girl, I furthered my training at Birmingham Orminston Academy(BOA). Gaining my degree in dance at Addict Dance Academy.
Having a strong professional background I am able to offer my students the best and most current industry knowledge, along side getting other professionals in to host workshops for the children.
At Refine Dance Academy we offer a number of dance styles from Syllabus work in Ballet and tap to commercial street, jazz and contemporary.
My goal for each lesson is to see improvement from each student, not only in their dance technique but also in their self confidence.
We strive to have all of our dancers confident with performance. We hold performances regularly. Delivering performance based lessons to the children. Pulling from my own experience of dancing at the NIA, Birmingham Hippodrome and dance events such as MOVE IT!Kate HooleyTeacherAt Refine Dance Academy we insure all of our teachers have been professionally trained, Kate trained and gained her degree in Contemporary dance at the Northern School Of Contemporary Dance. Kates understanding of contemporary dance and musicality is above any teachers I have seen before. the knowledge of the style and contemporary industry she can bring to the students is extremely beneficial. She has danced and trained with the company 'Motionhouse' for over two years, performing and teaching at multiple locations.
