Leah has been dancing since the age of 4 at her local village dance school. Leah found her passion and carried on studying this wonderful art form at Ounsdale High school in GCSE and dance festivals, she was also given the opportunity to run a Friday lunch-time street club!
Leah then ventured on to study at the amazing Birmingham Ormiston Academy and was the first year group to attend BOA. BOA offered many openings regarding working with professional artists, to performance and to teach
After her studies at BOA, University was on the cards! Leah studied a HND in Dance at Worcester University, where she was involved with the University’s dance company ‘Translucent Dance Company’. Leah then progressed into her top-up year at Middlesex University/Wolverhampton University.
Working freelance for dance companies around the country, in 2017 Leah found her true passion for teaching and launched her own dance company ‘Innovation Dance Company’ and have an amazing sixty students. In 2018, taking the IDTA teaching exam, introducing students to syllabus and exam preparation.
Leah thrives off passion, passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of talented children. Hoping one day they find the same amount of passion and will pass on their knowledge and experience.
