Learning Curves Dance has been teaching children in the Solihull area since 1998 and offers a wide range of DANCE STYLES and opportunities for girls and boys from age 3 through to adults.
With over 20 years of experience our teachers are highly qualified in many dance styles and qualifications run all the way up to degree level! All instructors are trained with the IDTA and also have additional qualifications with the ISTD, NATD, Acrobatic Arts, BCA and NCSSE.

- Lian FisherDirector and Principal
Learning Curves Dance was born in 1998. Lian qualified
at Associate level with the International Dance Teachers
Association, later gaining Licentiate qualification
qualifying her to train students to Associate level with the
IDTA. Lian trained at one the top European schools in
Germany under the syllabus of the Imperial Society of
Teachers of Dancing achieving Licentiate status with a
99% pass rate in her professional exam and now is about
to train her 13th candidate for professional examinations
with the IDTA. All of Lian’s team at Learning Curves
have been trained “in-house” by Lian to qualify to
Professional teaching standard.
Since 1998 Lian has taken Learning Curves from strength
to strength.Jennie FrancisPrincipalJennie joined Learning Curves as a student at the age of 11 and
was the first ever student to gain top marks (Honours) for
every Freestyle exam taken. Jenn was also the first of Learning
Curves’ students to be trained by Lian to professional level and
in 2005 gained her IDTA Associate status with a 90% pass
rate.
Jennie is now a full time member of the Learning Curves team.
Always a talented student she has now developed into a
talented teacher.
Jenn’s area of expertise is contemporary dance; she established
Learning Curves’ first contemporary class in 2007 to give
Learning Curves students the opportunity to branch out into
British and American contemporary dance styles. Jennie has
attended University to work towards a degree in dance, all in
the name of furthering the opportunities for Learning Curves
contemporary dancers. Jenn is also responsible for
choreographing the JEMz contemporary team that performs
every year at the world famous Sadler’s Wells Theatre,
London -
