We want to share our passion for ballroom and latin dancing with you. We are social dancers, so we dance for the pleasure of dancing. That may be at a Saturday night dance, a week day tea dance, or going out to a club or dinner dance and do more than a bit of boogieing on the spot. Dancing lessons can help to give you confidence to get up on the floor.
Most of us will never be champion dancers and that is really not the point for us. We can all enjoy dancing no matter what our age or ability.
We understand that you may have lots of demands on your time and that it can be difficult to keep regular attendance in a class. Our classes have lots of repetition which helps the learning process and allows you to miss classes and plenty of opportunity to catch up if you do miss anything. Practice is vital to learning and we follow our classes with practice time so you can try what you have learned in the class and have teachers on hand to ask for help.
Our dancing lessons are run on a pay as you go format so that you only pay for the classes you attend.
Our classes are loosely based around amateur medal tests providing a framework for what we teach and flexibility to add figures and dances. Taking medals is optional and does not hinder your development as a dancer, though, for some they provide useful targets and a way to mark your development.
On the first Saturday of each month we run a social dance open to dancers from anywhere to come and dance for pleasure
