Our ethos is to help all children, teenagers and adults gain the required level of training, confidence and performance skills to earn places in professional schools (Some with full scholarships) many of our students have gone on to professional careers working in the west end, in films and on TV, others to teach or to enjoy Dance to the full as a hobby.

After years of local training in Dance and Drama including tuition at Bush Davies Ballet School, Deryn attended one of London’s finest professional school’s: The Andrew Hardie School of Dance (Kensington) where she trained as a professional ballerina. She has over 35 years of teaching experience and has helped children from the age of 3 years through to adult's train and go on to professional carrers in The West End, Starlight Express, Cats, the Follies (Paris), TV series, cruise liners etc. She is a qualified, registered teacher, for the International Dance Teachers Association and trained in R.A.D., I.S.T.D., I.D.T.A. and a Royal Academy of Dance recognised teacher. She is a licenced chaperonne and DBS enhanced certificated and above all is passionate about all forms of dance, ballet being her first love.
Karen EdwardsBallet and Tap TeacherStudent of Silver Ribbons, she attended Chichester University where she attained a 2:2 BA Hons degree in Dance. She has helped to stage, choreograph and appeared in may dance numbers for our shows. She qualified as a pre-associate ballet teacher and is CRB certificated and a qualified First Aider

Freestyle associateAlex VallanceBallet, Tap and Musical Theatre TeacherStudent of Silver Ribbons School, Alex attended Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts London where she attained a level 6 Trinity National Diploma in Professional Music Theatre. She performed in pantomimes appearing alongside many stars and in Cabaret at numerous top London hotels & fundraising events. She has toured London with Shakespeare, filmed for 9 months as a Slytherin pupil in "Harry Potter and the Gobelet of Fire" and danced & sang in numerous variety shows at The Wimbledon Theatre, has staged charity fashion shows, written pantomimes and worked as a lighting tech at The Harlequin Theatre in Redhill. She has also opened an associate dance academy "Starlets in Horsham and qualified as a pre-associate ballet teacher at Silver Ribbons and is CRB certificated.
Hayley BeesonBallet and Tap TeacherStudent of Silver Ribbons, she attended Chichester University where she attained BA Hons Degree in Dance. She qualified as a pre-associate ballet teacher at Silver Ribbons, is CRB certificated and a qualified First Aider. She has founded the "Hayley Beeson School of Dance" and teaches at Warden Park School in Cuckfield
Amy Nicole TilburyBallet and Tap TeacherStudent of Silver Ribbons, she attended Reigate College where she attained a Dance btec. She has helped to stage, choreograph and appeared in many dance numbers for our shows and is also an expert in pole fitness. She qualified as a pre-associate ballet teacher at Silver Ribbons and is CRB certificated, an enhanced qualified First Aider and fully qualified nanny
Jessica Jane EdwardsBallet and Tap TeacherStudent of Silver Ribbons and Intermediate Grade ballet dancer, she attended university (where she coached the cheerleeding team). Formally a metropolitan police officer she is now training to be a school teacher and she has helped staging, choreograph and appeared in many dance numbers for our shows. She is CRB certificated and a qualified First Aider
Melanie Hubert VallanceAdmin and AdvertisingDaughter-in-law of Deryn, Mel has 3 daughters attending Silver Ribbons. She has been involved with the school for nearly 15 years and has designed the Silver Ribbons Website and is responsible for the advertising. She very often runs the music for the live performances, helps with costume making, is CRB certificated and a qualified chaperonne.
