Victoria School of Dance has been established in Castleford for over 25 years. We offer a high standard of tutition in all subjects and give pupils the opportunity to take exams and perform in annual shows and competitions.

- Victoria WillsPrincipal
Founder of the Victoria School of Dance. Having worked proffesionaly at home and abroad Miss Wills opened the Victoria School of Dance in 1989. The school has gone from strength to strength supporting pupils who want to dance for fun and also those wanting to pursue proffessional careers. Many pupils have gone onto stage schools and performing arts courses then onto careers in performing or teaching. Miss Wills enjoys teaching children in all disciplines but particularly Modern Jazz having had many pupils nominated for scholarships over the years. She has also coordinated a charity show for the last 25 years which has donated it's proceeds to various children's charities. Miss Wills has also nutured many pupils through teaching qualifictions with the IDTA some of which teach with her today.
Rachel IslesTeacherMiss Rachel teaches part time at the Victoria School of Dance. Trained by Miss Wills she is a valued member of the team and especially popular with the younger children. After university Miss Rachel returned to the Victoria School of dance to train as an IDTA teacher. She has a particular love of ballet and having trained to a high standard herself enjoys passing on her passion and guiding pupils of the Victoria School of Dance through their exams.
Kate WomersleyTeacherMiss Kate is a part time teacher at the Victoria School of Dance. She is a young innovative teacher who excels in creative ideas. Her enthusiasm makes her very popular with the children. After university Kate returned to the Victoria School of Dance to qualify as an IDTA teacher. She continues to study to further her qualifications and one day would like to be an examiner. She runs her own successful school in York so is currently teaching full time. Miss Kate runs the more commercial side of our dance school and offers exciting classes in Street dance, Freestyle and Musical Theatre.
