Joze School of Dance offers high quality & value for money dance classes for the local community. There’s a class for everyone whether you are 3 or 103! Jo is passionate about sharing her love of dance with dancers of all ages and abilities; she believes that dance is not just for dancers but a really good fun way to get fit and stay active and encourages students to be the best that they can be. She runs the school as a family unit regardless of age, gender or ability you will all be part of the same team.

Jo started dancing when she was 4 years old and is an associate member of the International DanceTeachers' Association (I.D.T.A) in Ballet, Modern Jazz and Theatre-Craft. Jo has been running Joze School of Dance in Ilkley since March 2005 and still regularly performs herself. As a youngster, she caught the 'bug' for choreography aged 14 when she won a gold medal for her contemporary choreography in 'The Fenland Choreographic Competition' and silver for jazz
and theatre the following year. Jo first started teaching when she was 15 at her Secondary School, where she won the Dance Award and prize for service to the school. For several years she was also resident choreographer for
local amateur dramatic society in Cambridgeshire. In addition to teaching ballet, pointe, jazz, theatre-craft and contemporary classes, Jo also teaches the N.V.Q. Dance Leadership Level 1 award, and trains student dance teachers through the
