Spotlights Dance School was established in 1997. We currently offer classes in various dance styles including ballroom, latin, freestyle, salsa, rock ‘n’ roll, street and cheerleading.
Our children’s classes work towards IDTA exams and medals alongside performances at various local events. We put on an annual show and every 2nd year we take a group to perform in London’s West End.
Adult classes are social and all levels are catered for. We also offer exercise and dance classes in residential homes.
Over the past few years our exercise and Zumba Fitness Classes have proved popular.

Sonia Cable

Principal

Our Principal Sonia Cable has been teaching for 30 years and dancing since the age of 7. Sonia is qualified with the IDTA across various styles of dance and has trained all the teachers who work within the Dance School.
Sonia has choreographed numerous shows and entered hundreds of children and adults for IDTA medals and exams, all have been successful in passing.
Sonia now runs various before school dance clubs and teaches dance exercise to over 50's in the community and in residential homes.
All classes are taught with fun in mind and the annual show is very popular with students and families. Many ex students come along to watch and say hello.

Mandy Arnold

Teacher - Adult Ballroom, Latin & Sequence

Mandy Arnold has danced since she was a child, when her daughter joined the dance school Mandy took her IDTA exams to qualify as a teacher. Mandy has been teaching since then and has specialized in adult classes.
Mandy also teaches over 50's exercise and dance.

Vienna Swanborough

Teacher

Vienna has been dancing at Spotlights Dance Centre since she was young and has gone on to qualify as an IDTA teacher. Vienna also took a degree in marketing and dance so has lots of experience.
Vienna takes out young children's classes and helps with adult beginners classes. Vienna has a passion fro freestyle dance.

Laura Culley

Teacher

Laura has danced all her life and qualified to teach 18 years ago. Laura specializes in Ballroom and Latin. Laura teaches both children and adults within the dance school
