- Sarah SteadPrinciple Dance Teacher
Sarah started dancing at the young age of three, training at Isobel Dunn School of Dance, studying Ballet, Tap, Freestyle and Musical theatre. She has remained true to her roots as a York girl and has many years of teaching experience, first starting at the tender age of thirteen. She assisted with younger ballet and tap classes at her dance school leading to her being asked to choreograph for the youngest class for their annual show at fifteen, continuing with this each year after.
In 2009 Sarah started two dance classes of her own, and staged her first show in June of 2009, Movers Moves. Her aim, to provide young children with an exciting hobby that would help keep them fit and healthy. From there Spotlight Dance Academy has grown into the success it is today.
Her most recent experience saw her leave the rainy summer of the UK and swap it for the hot sun of America. As the aerobics and dance instructor for a girls summer camp and also a camp counsellor, this presented new challenges and experiences for Sarah which developed her skills as a dancer and dance teacher.
