Children’s classes are held in Ballet, Tap, Theatrecraft, Freestyle, Gymnastic Dance, Musical Theatre and Drama.
Our Saturday morning Passport to Showtime gives the younger children an introduction to many different dance styles such as Happy Tappers, Bounce & Bop and Gym Jammers. They develop the various dance styles and co-ordination in a relaxed & fun environment.
Rosette exams are available for all Passport to Showtime pupils.
From Primary standard children attend after school classes where the emphasis is on further developing their technique and confidence. Classes are kept to a manageable size to give individual attention. Frequent IDTA exam sessions take place and pupils may also be entered for LAMDA exams.
Adult classes are held in Ballet, Tap and Theatrecraft. Private lessons are available in Ballroom and Latin American. First wedding dances are choreographed and taught by the Principal.
Professional teacher training is available on request.
The Academy enters the Coventry Drama Festival and performs at the Annual Christmas lights ceremony as well as local fetes and building our own float for the Kenilworth Carnival. Our school show is presented every 2 or 3 years.

Trained at Grandison College, Croydon and Pattisons Dancing Academy, Coventry, I hold teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Theatrecraft, Modern Jazz, Ballroom, Gymnastic Dance, Dance Exercise, LISTD National & LAMDA Speech and Acting. After a Teacher training course at Pattisons and performing professionally in cabaret & pantomimes I was asked to join the staff teaching for 12 years before starting my own school in Kenilworth in 1989. I have led Ballroom & Latin courses at Community Colleges, coached at Coventry Olympic and Rhythmic Gymnastic clubs, choreographed Coventry & Kenilworth Gang shows and pantomimes for local Musical Societies. I now teach dance classes in at schools in Warwickshire and Coventry for 'Sainsbury's Active’ and recently began teaching Creative exercise and Tea dances in care homes for the elderly. I find it very rewarding to help those with physical disabilities and dementia. I am proud to be a life member of the IDTA and look forward to teaching for many more years!
Lauren PidgeonTeacherMiss Lauren joined my Academy at the age of 5 and completed all her grades on Ballet and Tap before leaving to go to University. She graduated from Leeds with a first class degree in Theatre Management. Whilst working at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford, she returned to dancing and has since taken her Intermediate exams and Associate teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap & Gymnastic Dance.
Lauren has taught Ballet & Tap at the Academy for the last 8 years but is about to take a short break when her first baby is born!Helen ParsonsTeacherMiss Helen started dancing at the age of 2 studying Ballet and Tap and progressed through her grades, adding more subjects, before embarking on a 3 year Musical Theatre Course at Pattisons Theatre Arts.
She holds teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap, Theatrecraft, Modern Jazz, Freestyle, Gymnastic Dance plus qualifications in National Dance, Drama and singing.Helen has experience of performing in and choreographing various professional pantomimes, shows and cabarets including singing several times as a vocal soloist touring Spain.
Helen taught at Pattisons for 11 years but following the birth of her first son she joined my Academy to help teach Gym & Freestyle. Now about to have her third baby she is still with me!Lily GibbTeacherMiss Lily has been dancing at Daniels Dancing Academy for the last 11 years.
She studied Ballet, Tap, Freestyle and Gymnastic Dance. Whilst taking her academic exams she continued dancing and attended other duties at the Academy. Lily holds the Associate Freestyle and having completed a B-Tech Diploma in Performing Arts, at Coventry Technical College, she now teaches Freestyle as well as preparing for her Associate Tap and studying Animal Management in her quest to become a Vetinery Nurse!
Ruby BaigentTeacherMiss Ruby has been dancing since the age of 2 and gained exams in core theatre subjects and Gymnastic dance at Daniels Dancing Academy. After 14 years with me she successfully auditioned for Pattisons Theatre Arts and was awarded a scholarship.
During her 2-year student course at Pattisons Ruby gained Associates in Freestyle, Ballet, Tap & Modern Jazz. More recently I have coached her for her Gymnastic Diploma for which she gained 93% .Ruby’s career to date boast performances at Disney Land, The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, NEC, Pineapple Dance Studios as well as cabarets, flash mobs and Carnivals.
Ruby is very excited and looking forward to returning to Daniels Dancing Academy as my teacher!
