Studio 7 Ballroom & Latin Dance School first opened its doors to the general public on October 6th 2004. The School operates mainly out of the Arima Tennis Club, in Trinidad & Tobago West Indies.
Studio 7 Ballroom & Latin Dance School offers International and American Styles Ballroom, Latin, Hip Hop, Club Latin, Modern, Cultural and Line Dancing. The school provides a relaxed family atmosphere that encourages self-expression and enjoyment in dance where students three years and over are taught at a level appropriate to their individual potential and ability.
We strive to increase each student’s confidence and personal progress via the development of co-ordination, motor skills, creativity, self expression and musicality while providing continuing support to our students. The overall health and happiness of our students is also our concern as we believe that sound training in this art gives pupils valuable skills and experience they can apply to every aspect of their lives, as the lessons taught at our school foster a linkage between the young and old age groups promoting self-esteem, an enhanced understanding of dance and sensitivity towards socializing.
The school motivates and train students that are interested in competitive dancing, medalist examinations and performance dancing, all of which have brought esteemed results and great satisfaction to the school and by extension the qualified professional teachers that are associated with the school. Our Principal and head tutor Mrs. Carol Matthew Webb is certified and a qualified dance teacher under the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) of England.

Dancing has been a hobby since at a younger age and in the year 2002 I joined a dance school in Arima. However due to my other responsibilities at time, it was difficult to attend classes at the scheduled times. My love for dance was overwhelming and that inspired me to open a dance school of my own – “Club Castle Dance School” (because of its location at the time).
By contracting dance Instructors that were available and convenient to with my weekly schedule, classes in international & American style Ballroom and Latin dancing, as well as, Club styles dancing were being offered. And, so, October 6th 2004 my dance school, open its door to the public. As the class grew in size, the operations of the business began to clash with the privacy of our class sessions. A new location had to be found and that brought about the independent name change to of today –“Studio 7 Ballroom & Latin Dance School”.
As my experience in the various types of dances that were being taught improved, I began assisting the tutors during their classes. Thus the journey of my career as a Dance Instructor took off; this brought a new appreciation for the art and also a greater sense of satisfaction.
Slowly but surely, I ensured that the correct study materials were acquired from recognized institutes; training was sought from experienced, qualified teachers in the art; numerous dance workshops were attended. I conducted class work with students, preparing them for Medal Exams, performances and competitions. These classes brought about great success for everyone involved. I hold a Salsa Diploma, an Associate Degree in Ballroom dancing. Currently I’m perusing my Latin Associate Degree.
In addition to tutoring my class, I also work along with the youths of Five Rivers / Dinsley Police Youth Group and Lucia’s Private School. I’m an active member of the National Ballroom Dance Association of Trinidad & Tobago, the Professional & Amateur Dance Association of Trinidad & Tobago and the International Dance Teachers Association of England and Trinidad & Tobago.Adrian DanielHip Hop / Street/ Freestyle Instructor
