The Freda Gurney School of Dancing was established over 50 years ago by Freda Gurney who has since passed the school on to her daughter, Kim Jenkins. Kim is now assisted by her daughter Cara who intends to continue improving the school. Classes are taken every week by the same teachers to ensure that the pupils’ learning is built upon from the previous week. The dance school is continuing to grow without paying for any advertising, most new enquiries coming from referrals. Pupils are entered for IDTA examinations taking place locally at least twice each year and participate in annual show events.
